New Management at Bilborough Medical Centre
(Posted April 2019)

From 1st April 2019, Bilborough Medical Centre will be operated by the Nottingham City GP Alliance. For more information on what this change of management means for you as a patient, please click here to read an introduction from the Alliance.

You’ll be pleased to hear that the team at the surgery will be staying exactly where they are. The Alliance have been working closely with them over the last few months to ensure the handover is as smooth as possible for them and you.

Both Bilborough Medical Centre and Assarts Farm Medical Centre sites will remain open.

One thing you will notice is increased availability and volume of appointments. There will also be some permanent GPs joining the surgery for routine sessions.

Here's a message from Emma Bravery, Chief Operating Officer at the Alliance:

“We look forward to working with the team at Bilborough Medical Centre, who have proven to be a resilient and dedicated group and are all clearly committed to caring for their patients. Our role is to ensure that the practice gets the support and resources it needs to overcome the challenges identified by its recent CQC report, and thereby provide excellent, safe, effective and responsive care to their patients.

We are well aware of the challenges ahead and will be engaging with the Practice staff, patients and carers, NHS England, Nottingham City CCG and the Care Quality Commission to achieve that end. Our first priority is to establish a stable leadership for the practice, including recruiting Clinical and Managerial leads and increasing the number of appointments available. We welcome ideas and feedback from the patients who are key to the success of the practice.”

We are currently in the process of updating the surgery website, so please bear with us whilst we complete this. If you have any enquiries in the meantime, please do not hesitate to contact our surgery team on 0115 929 2354.
