Phone Line Maintenance - Tuesday 28th June 2022
We expect there to be disruptions to our phone line on the Tuesday 28th June as we are changing telephone providers.
We will keep you updated on any issues with the phones and calling in to reception, but we hope there won't be too many issues.
If you are needing urgent medical advice, and cannot get through to the practice on this day, please visit NHS 111 or call 111.

*Bilborough Medical Centre sits within the BACHS PCN which is a group of GP practices and other local organisations/groups that are located in the same area of the city, and work collaboratively to support the communities health care. BACHS covers Bilborough, Beechdale, Aspley, Cinderhill, Hyson Green and Strelley.
Longer than average wait times (20th June 2022)

Our website currently isnt displaying the Userway accessibility widget (meaning that some may find it more difficult to navigate our site). We have informed our website developers, and hopefully they will be able to resolve this issue quickly.

Staffing levels
Your general practice team are here for you.
Locally the number of people testing postive for Covid is on the rise and we have an increase in staff absence, both admin and clinical, as a result.
Our practice(s) are still open and continuing to provide services as we have done throughout the pandemic. But, we may take longer to answer the phone than we would like, or we may need to cancel/reschedule appointments if our staffing levels reduce. Please be assured we are working to ensure impact on patients is mimimised wherever possible.
When calling the practice the reception team will ask you questions to make sure you get an appointment with the most appropriate person for your needs. Our teams are working hard cover absence and we are working at a reduced staffing level, please be patient.

Alternatively, you can visit the local pharmacy for clinical advice on minor health concerns.
Call 999 in a medical or mental health emergency. This is when someone is seriously ill or injured and their life is at risk.

'Living with COVID' Government response
We don't yet know what the guidance will be for primary care in response to the new 'Living with Covid' reponse, therefore until this is confirmed, please can you continue to:
-Wear your mask in the surgery
-Keep distance when in the surgery
-Arrive no longer than 5 minutes before your appointment time
-Avoid attending for routine care when you have COVID
-Tell us if you have COVID symptoms, or are COVID positive when you have an appointment
That way we can keep all patient safe - including those who cannot be vaccinated or whose immune systems are weak.
COVID-19 Travel Advice
It is not our policy to issue COVID-19 certificates for international travel purposes, this includes 'fit to fly' letters for COVID-19.
Travel advice is changing very rapidly, therefore it is recommended that you check the government website as it gives the most up to date information on what you will need to do when planning to travel abroad. Please continue to wear a face covering when in the practice
Although the government guidelines have changed, it is our priority to ensure that patients, visitors and our staff are kept healthy and safe during their time in the practice. We therefore ask that all those in the practice continue to wear a face covering; and for it to be covering both the mouth and nose. We understand some exemptions apply, if this is appliciable, please speak to the reception team.
